Our marine blast cleaning service is a fast, enviromentally sensible method of anti-fouling paint removal. Soda blasting is considered by the pros as the best method for marine anti-fouling paint removal. Hand sanding can take days of hard, labour intensive work; our process takes only hours. Sandblasting can do considerable damage to the gelcoat and hull itself, requiring a lot of repair to bring the surface back to a paintable condition. If you are a boat owner, and contract out the stripping and painting, you may have a lot of hidden repairs once the antifouling paint is re-applied, should your hull be sandblasted. No harmful chemical strippers are used, and we leave an even finish upon which to apply the new coatings.
Please inquire about our conditions should the boat be situated anywhere except your own property.
The dream, now that the owner was retired, was to sail off into the sunset. He tried to hand sand the bottom paint and put his back out. We quickly turned the project around.
A beautiful matte finish – excellent for applying that new
anti-fouling paint
Multiple boats can reduce the overall cost per boat. The centre boat is tarped in to prevent the dark antifouling paint from adhering to adjacent boats – the two smaller boats required blistering to be opened up so that repairs could be performed
Steel hulled boats are no problem as well. One of our most aggressive, but still Eco sensible blast medias made quick work of the bottom paint on this steel hulled boat. Without the problems associated with silica sand!
